Scuba Diving Koh Tao without Certification

Image
Scuba Diving Koh Tao without Certification  Scuba Diving Koh Tao without Certification is possible subject to a “Same Day Resort Course” in a pool, all your dive gear will be provided by the diving school. After the course, your dive instructor will take you on a sea dive (“Open Water Dive”) to depths of about ten meters. Luckily Koh Tao offers many amazing diving spots that are less than ten meters deep. On ten meters, you can expect “bottom time” of about 20 to 50 minutes – depending on your air consumption. Koh Phangan Full Moon Party

Koh Phangan Full Moon Party So you heard the rumors to about a legendary party that only happens on a full moon night? The you must have heard how awesome it actually is and trust me that it is as crazy and wild as everyone told you. In this part of the blog I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the full moon party. First you’ll have to get from Koh Tao to Koh Phangan island using the ferrie which should only cost you around 500 Baht and take about an hour and a half. I would recommend that you try to take the 12-PM ferrie to Koh Phangan as most hotels and accommodations only allow for check-ins from around 2 O’clock , this will also allow you to miss the massive rush to the island from the late-comers. Yes, it will be an incredible experience but be warned that it is somewhat a tourist trap as the prices for most things on the island skyrocket so to say during this time due to the influx of tourism and scarcity of accommodation options. For the sake of not burning a hole thr

Koh Tao Accommodation - Sun Sea Bungalows

Image
Koh Tao Accommodation - Sun Sea Bungalows As far as accommodation on Koh Tao goes, personally, this is the best. Because if there is one place that I absolutely adore and would be able to buy my retirement home,  it is the last little white house at Sun Sea Bungalows, closest to the sea with the ocean view. Sun Sea Bungalows is truly the best place that I've stayed at during my visit to Koh Tao, my only regret is that I couldn't take a mortgage out on the little house that I stayed in.   With an un-obscured view of Mae-Haad pier and the ocean plateau as the sun sets and births some of the most beautiful sun-sets you have ever seen in your life while sitting on your porch sipping on a beverage thinking to yourself: "This is the life." while watching the dive boats from the dive schools go by...

The 9 Rules that Rule Thailand

Image
The Rules That Rule Thailand When you are in Thailand, it's important to remember a few things that will make your travel the best it can be. 1:  Smile, you're on holiday in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, there's a reason it's called the land of smiles.  -   Not the land of being obnoxious, rude or ignorant. 2:  Watch your tone and volume - Yes, although the music, scooters and taxis are loud, doesn't mean you have to be louder - Raising your voice is taken as a sign of aggression and conflict. 3:  Don't get "touchy" - Thai people greet differently than most western cultures do, they put both their palms together (nose-height) called: "WAI." usually with a small bow to show respect. See where I'm going with this? putting your hand out to greet someone can be a little bit awkward as it's not always warmly reciprocated. 4:  Never use your feet to point at someone and never let the balms of your feet face a person and

Koh Tao Travel Tips

Koh Tao Travel Tips Ahh yes, the fabled old "Travel Tips"  I know, I know. You've read countless travel tips and seen even more YouTube videos than your debts after paying for a holiday but bare with me. These aren't your run of the mill travel tips but more to describe the way of life in Thailand and some general rules to go by that will hopefully make your travels the best they can be. Plane Tickets: Before you embark on any adventure, one of the first things you'll have to do is book your plane tickets but as I've mentioned earlier in my blog, local flights within Thailand can be quite pricey, for example some flights from Phuket to Koh Samui can be as expensive as a month's rent, so it's always best to way up your options and try to not let your excitement and eagerness get in the way of you and your wallet's better judgement. On the flip-side however, Once you are in Thailand, it quickly becomes very affordable to visit the neighboring countri
