Smile, you're on holiday in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, there's a reason it's called the land of smiles.  -   Not the land of being obnoxious, rude or ignorant.

Watch your tone and volume - Yes, although the music, scooters and taxis are loud, doesn't mean you have to be louder - Raising your voice is taken as a sign of aggression and conflict.

Don't get "touchy" - Thai people greet differently than most western cultures do, they put both their palms together (nose-height) called: "WAI." usually with a small bow to show respect.
See where I'm going with this? putting your hand out to greet someone can be a little bit awkward as it's not always warmly reciprocated.

Never use your feet to point at someone and never let the balms of your feet face a person and even more importantly, never the Buddha, The King or Any royal family member.

If you ever drop money, be it coin or paper, never step on it as this is seen as you stepping on the King - His face is on all the currency in Thailand and you can even be fined for this.

Never speak badly of the King or any royal family members as this is seen as an act of treason.

Don't play the "Four-In-A-Row" board-game game with bartenders, the hangover will leave you in a catatonic state.

Gambling in any way is illegal in Thailand.

Thailand has a very strict and enforced policy on Drugs, Enjoy the beer instead.
